Participation of teachers of the Department of CCE in the JAS 2022/2023

In the last days of December 2022, the first city stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of research works by students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences (JAS) of Ukraine took place in Kremenchuk. Many students' works were presented at the defense, which were performed under the guidance or with the advice of teachers of the Kremenchuk National University. The academic staff of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics took an active part in the preparation of students and in the work of the jury.

The Head of the Department of CEE, Andrii Perekrest, due to his extensive experience in the relevant fields, acted as a member of the jury in the sections:

  • Aircraft and rocketry; 
  • Mechanical engineering and robotics;
  • Information and telecommunication systems and technologies;
  • Electronics and Instrumentation.

Andrii Perekrest also mentored the winner, Stefan Hlib, a 10th grade student from Kremenchuk Lyceum № 30 "Olympus" named after N. M. Shevchenko, with his project "Cyber-physical system for monitoring the physical condition of an aircraft operator" in the Information and Telecommunication Systems and Technologies section.

The largest number of this year's winners was prepared by Dmytro Kukharenko, Associate Professor of the Department of KIE. The following students, who worked under the guidance of Dmytro Volodymyrovych, won prizes for their research topics in the respective sections:

  1. Udovytska Valeria - 9th grade - topic "Software development for a computer model of superficial hemangioma" - section "Software Engineering".
  2. Koval Oleksandr - 9th grade - "Method of diagnosing the gastrointestinal tract using capsule endoscopy" - section "Information and Telecommunication Systems and Technologies".
  3. Bohdan Ryaboshapka - "Method of bioimpedance analysis of patient's condition" - section "Technological processes and advanced technologies".
  4. Zlata Soshnikova - 11th grade - "A device for constructing tomographic slices" - section "Electronics and Instrumentation".

Vadurin Kyrylo, assistant of the KIE Department, also prepared the winner of the Junior Academy of Sciences - Maksym Fedorenko, a 9th grade student of Kremenchuk Gymnasium № 2, with a paper on "Mobile robotic printing device with a wireless interface" in the Electronics and Instrumentation section.
